The Problem
The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the furniture industry, affecting both businesses and consumers. The impact has been profound for companies heavily reliant on physical store sales. Consumers, on the other hand, have increasingly turned to online channels for their furniture purchases.
Studies have shown that choosing furniture that doesn't fit one's room is a typical online and offline issue. Many people are concerned about size, color, design, and how well the furniture matches their room's style. If the purchased furniture turns out to be unsuitable, consumers often face financial losses, as returning or exchanging items can be challenging.
Online furniture shopping also presents numerous challenges, including handling large, expensive items prone to damage during transport, assembly issues, difficulties tracking real-time delivery status, and frequent delivery scheduling problems.
The Goals
Overall, COVID-19 has accelerated the shift towards online furniture shopping. So, FurD was designed for users in Thailand who want to buy furniture online but need a clear idea. It can make them feel that buying furniture is effortless, helps them explore more ideas, have a good experience, and trust in purchasing products through us
